Peacock moss (portion)

Add soft, branching greenery to your freshwater aquascape with Peacock Moss. Its feathery growth creates natural-looking texture on driftwood and rocks, offering shelter and grazing surfaces for shrimp and small aquarium inhabitants.

This listing is for a portion of live Peacock Moss. Portion shape and density vary naturally; no fixed weight or coverage area is specified.

Spread the moss in a thin layer over aquarium-safe wood, rock, or mesh, and secure it gently with aquarium-safe thread or a small amount of aquarium-safe plant glue used according to its directions. Do not bury the moss in substrate or compress it into a thick clump.

Provide low to moderate aquarium lighting, stable water conditions, and gentle circulation. Consistent water-column nutrients support growth. Supplemental CO2 can encourage fuller growth but is not essential in every setup.

Trim regularly to maintain the desired shape and help light reach the lower growth. Remove loose trimmings and gently clear trapped debris during routine maintenance. Avoid heavy buildup of waste or algae within the moss.

Allow time for the moss to settle and attach to its support. Growth rate, branching pattern, and color vary with aquarium conditions.
