Jewel cichlid 3/pk

Bring bold color and spirited behavior to your freshwater aquarium with Jewel Cichlids. Known for their jewel-like iridescent spotting and often vivid breeding colors, these fish reward aquarists prepared to manage their assertive personalities.

This listing includes three Jewel Cichlids. A three-pack does not guarantee a compatible group, a breeding pair, or a particular sex ratio. Be prepared to separate fish if aggression develops, especially if two fish form a pair.

Provide a spacious, established, heated freshwater aquarium with dependable filtration and stable water conditions. Include securely arranged rocks, caves, and driftwood to create retreats and break up lines of sight. Leave room for swimming and allow for digging when arranging substrate and decor.

Jewel Cichlids can be highly territorial and aggressive, particularly when spawning or guarding young. They are not a suitable choice for a peaceful small-fish community. Choose any companions cautiously, monitor closely, and have separate housing available. Small fish and shrimp may be eaten.

Offer a varied diet of quality, appropriately sized cichlid pellets supplemented with suitable frozen or live foods. Feed modest portions and maintain water quality with regular water changes.

Coloration varies with maturity, condition, and breeding status. Juvenile or unsettled fish may appear less colorful than breeding adults.
